Disable Auto-Name and use File Names in Enovia V62013x SolidWorks (SLW)

Dassault Systemes has released a fix pack for Enovia V6 2013x SLW that allows users to disable the auto-naming feature and use file names instead. Previously, when a SolidWorks file got created and saved into the V6 system, the name was auto-generated, for example, A-0000001. Standard Fix Pack FP.CFA.1404 has added a new key called "MCADInteg-NamingStrategy" which has two choices "Always from File" or "Always Number". This key will now be found in the attributes for SolidWorks-GlobalConfig type. Data Card in SolidWorks after changing the setting to "Always from File" Under Workspace Folder –

Smarteam class icon does not refresh on “save as” to new class

With V5R21 SP3 and Solidworks 2012 SP2 – Smarteam icon does not refresh in DMT if part class is saved into a different class. 1. In Solidworks, create and save a new part. 2. Save this part into Smarteam as Solidworks part class. 3. "Save as" into Smarteam as Solidworks standard part class.4. The icon still points to the Solidworks part class.5. Right-click in the DMT and Refresh.6. The icon changes to Solidworks standard part class.

Smarteam R19-System configuration editor on Windows server 2008 64bit

With R19 – only Foundation (core services/vault setup) is supported on Windows 2008 (64 bit). As System Configuration Editor is part of Editor installation, It cannot be installed on 2008 (64bit)server and will not show up during installation process. As a workaround, Install admin editor client on a supported operating system. R20 supports 2008 (64 bit) and installing System config editor will not be an issue.
