Isight is a solution that provides engineers with a suite of visual and flexible tools for creating simulation process flows. These tools consist of a variety of applications – including commercial CAD/CAE software, internally developed programs, and Excel spreadsheets – to automate the exploration of design alternatives, and the identification of optimal performance parameters.
Isight enables users to automate simulation process flows and to leverage advanced techniques such as Design of Experiments, Optimization, Approximations, and Design for Six Sigma to thoroughly explore the design space. Advanced, interactive post-processing tools allow engineers to explore the design space from multiple points of view.
In Isight, a component is a container with its own interface for integrating and running a particular simulation application directly within Isight. Isight comes standard with a library of components which form the building blocks of Isight process flows.
The Isight component architecture also supports the integration of customer-proprietary applications. This open integration technology is generic in order to work with a wide range of internally developed scripts, applications, and databases.
The SIMULIA Execution Engine extends the power of simulation to the enterprise. It accomplishes this by enabling users to distribute and parallelize the execution of simulations, and Isight simulation process flows, across available compute resources. It also enables users to share Isight simulation process flows and results. The Execution Engine can be utilized as part of a SIMULIA Simulation Lifecycle Management deployment, or it can be accessed directly from Isight or from a customizable web user interface.
